CARE HOME – INDEPENDENT CARE PROVIDER
Client: CARE HOME – INDEPENDENT CARE PROVIDER
Task: BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Cura Energy were approached to carry out a control panel and BMS upgrade for an existing care home facility operated by one of the UK’s largest independent care providers. The project involved replacing an obsolete control panel and analogue control system.
As the care home was a fully occupied building, it was essential that the heating and HWS systems remained operational throughout the works to avoid any disruption or impact on residents. There were also space constraints within the HVAC plantroom which needed to be carefully considered within the new system design and equipment layout.
Our team carried out a detailed survey of the existing control panel, electrical installation and HVAC equipment to develop a new BMS solution that met both the technical and operational requirements of the site. We worked closely with all stakeholders to agree the scope, programme and delivery strategy for the project. We placed a clear focus on maintaining continuity of service and achieving zero impact on residents throughout the installation works.
Cura Energy successfully designed and installed a new control panel incorporating upgraded BMS controls, with all works completed without impact to residents or disruption to building operation.
